Invitation
GLOBAL KOREA FORUM 2026
The Ministry of Unification is pleased to host the 2026 Global Korea Forum (GKF)
from August 27 to 28, 2026.
Since its inception in 2010, the Global Korea Forum has served as the Ministry of Unification's flagship international conference. Over the years, it has brought together leading experts on the Korean Peninsula and inter-Korean relations, government officials from major countries, and distinguished scholars from around the world. The Forum has established itself as a premier platform for international dialogue, advancing global discussions on peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula.
The international order is undergoing profound transformation, driven by intensifying geopolitical competition, the restructuring of the global economic and technological landscape, and a rapidly evolving security environment. These changes present both new opportunities and new challenges for the strategic environment surrounding the Korean Peninsula, underscoring the need for more innovative and effective approaches to achieving sustainable peaceful coexistence.
Against the backdrop of prolonged tensions in inter-Korean relations and an increasingly complex international environment, peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula are no longer issues confined to the Peninsula itself. Rather, they have become matters of shared concern for the international community.
Under the overarching theme, "A New Paradigm for Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula Amid a Transforming International Order," the 2026 Global Korea Forum will feature in-depth discussions on the following key issues:
This year's Forum will feature distinguished speakers from a wide range of fields, including Professor Jared Diamond, offering participants an opportunity to explore issues concerning the Korean Peninsula from diverse perspectives.
We hope the 2026 Global Korea Forum will serve as a meaningful platform for exploring practical and actionable solutions for peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula.
We warmly invite you to join us in Seoul on August 27–28.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to welcoming you.
Thank you.
